Night Shift: Deep Clean Operative Full Time

Location: Merthyr Tydfil
Shift Pattern: Night Shift – 8:00 PM to 5:00 AM
Working Days: 5 days per week (on a rota basis), including weekends, with 2 days off
Pay Rate:

• £13.44 per hour
• Increases to £14.11 per hour after 12-week probation
• Overtime available after probation, paid at time and a half

Job Description:

We are currently recruiting experienced and safety-conscious Night Shift Deep Clean Operatives to join our team in a meat processing facility. This is a physically demanding role focused on maintaining high hygiene and sanitation standards throughout the factory during the night shift.

Candidates with a valid IPAF certificate are strongly preferred due to the requirement for high-level cleaning using access equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Carry out deep cleaning tasks as per the planned hygiene schedule.
• Operate cleaning machinery and equipment (e.g. pressure washers, fogging machines, and chemical applicators) safely and effectively.
• Perform high-level cleaning tasks using powered access equipment (IPAF)
• Liaise with Engineers department to arrange dismantle and reassemble production machinery and equipment after the clean.
• Safely use cleaning chemicals and wear appropriate PPE
• Maintain strict adherence to food hygiene and safety standards
• Follow a detailed cleaning schedule and complete all tasks within set timeframes
• Report any issues such as equipment faults, pest activity, or structural damage.
• Communicate effectively with team leaders and colleagues

Requirements:

• Valid IPAF certificate (essential for high-level cleaning tasks)
• Previous cleaning experience in an industrial or food production environment (preferred)
• Ability to work night shifts, including weekends on a rota basis
• Physically fit and capable of manual and high-level work
• Strong attention to detail with a focus on hygiene and cleanliness
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work as part of a team
• Willingness to follow training and safety procedures
• Comfortable working in cold and wet environment
