Operating Theatre Cleaner Part Time

Payrate: £12.60

Part-time: 3 hours per week

Schedule: Wednesday 6PM – 9PM

Position Overview: We are seeking dedicated and detail-oriented Operating Theatre Cleaners to join our healthcare facility’s team. As an Operating Theatre Cleaner, you will play a vital role in maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene within our operating theatres and associated areas. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure the operating theatres and clean and dirty corridors leading to them, are thoroughly cleaned and sanitized to support a safe and sterile environment for medical procedures.

Responsibilities:

• Perform cleaning duties in the operating theatres, ensuring they are maintained to the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene.
• Clean and sanitize the corridors leading to the operating theatres, to maintain a sterile environment.
• Thoroughly clean walls, floors, and ceilings in the designated areas using appropriate cleaning equipment and approved disinfectants.
• Adhere to all safety guidelines and protocols while using cleaning chemicals and equipment.
• Report any maintenance or repair needs in the operating theatres or associated areas to the appropriate personnel.
• Collaborate with the healthcare facility’s staff to ensure effective communication and coordination of cleaning and requirements.
• Participate in training sessions related to cleaning protocols and safety procedures.
• Be available to work from 06:00 PM to 09:00 PM on Wednesday.
• Proven experience in professional cleaning, preferably in a healthcare or surgical setting.
• Ability to use and handle cleaning equipment and chemicals safely and effectively.
• Flexibility to work when required and adjust working hours as needed.
• Clear communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
• A valid DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) check or willingness to undergo one.
