Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and vigilant Security Officer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for our premises, staff, and visitors. This role requires a keen eye for detail and the ability to respond effectively to various situations. The Security Officer will play a crucial role in surveillance, loss prevention, and ensuring compliance with safety protocols.
Duties
- Monitor and patrol designated areas to prevent and detect signs of intrusion or suspicious activity.
- Control access and egress.
- Weighbridge operations.
- Monitor CCTV systems to ensure comprehensive surveillance coverage of the premises.
- Conduct regular inspections of security equipment and report any malfunctions or maintenance needs.
- Respond promptly to alarms and incidents, taking appropriate action as necessary.
- Assist in the implementation of loss prevention strategies to safeguard company assets.
- Provide first aid assistance when required, ensuring the safety and well-being of all individuals on site.
- Maintain accurate records of daily activities, incidents, and observations for reporting purposes.
- Collaborate with law enforcement agencies when necessary to address security concerns.
Experience
MUST HAVE A VALID SIA LICENSE AND DRIVING LICENSE.
- Previous experience in security or a related field is preferred; training will be provided.
- Familiarity with weighbridge and surveillance systems is advantageous.
- Knowledge of loss prevention techniques and practices is beneficial.
- Certification in first aid is required.
- Strong observational skills with the ability to remain calm under pressure.
