JOB TITLE: Yard and Waste Treatment Operative

CONTRACT TYPE:
Full time temporary contract.

PAY RATE:
Basic Pay Rate: £11.44 per hour

SHIFTS:
Temporary Role – Full time. Fixed shift patterns.

• Monday to Friday: 8:00am – 4:00pm

The role is to assist in the day-to-day operations of the Waste Treatment Department, in accordance with Company requirements and to contribute to the achievement of Departmental targets. To effectively work within a team whilst also adhering to the strict legislative compliance. To ensure that the site is kept clean and tidy at all times and ensure opening hours are adhered to.

Role Duties:

To accept and qualify the paint derived from the HWRC for re-use by colour and category

• To decant contaminated paint into a vessel for bulk collection and dispose of empty paint tins.
• To store paint within the facility in a safe and secure manner
• Ensuring the site is kept clean, tidy and safe at all times.
• Operating mobile plant strictly to operational and health and safety instructions.
• Undertaking site inspections and reporting any unsafe conditions to the line manager.
• Ensure that all activities are carried out in accordance with Health & Safety procedures and within your H&S responsibilities as detailed in the company H&S policy.
• To report any incidences that occur within the Department to your Line Manager.
• To undertake any other duties which may be required and which are consummate with the posts position within the company.
• To assist the commercial recycling centre yardman in all duties during busy times and sickness, breaks and holidays
