Production Team Leader Full Time

CSA Recruitment is looking for a Production Team Leader for our ever expanding, long standing client in Cross Hands. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the production process from start to finish. The Production Lead will be responsible for ensuring that the production process is completed in a timely and efficient manner, that all safety and quality standards are met, and that the production process is properly communicated to the team.

*Own transport is a requirement for this role.*

Pay Rate:
Basic Pay Rate: £13.03 per hour
Overtime Rate: £16.29 per hour after 47.5 hours from starting day.

Contract Type:
Full Time Permanent Contract

Shifts:

Working hours will vary between either Shift Pattern A or Shift Pattern B. You will be placed on only one.

Shift pattern A

• Sunday 6am-6pm
• Monday 6am-6.30pm
• Tuesday 3-11pm
• Wednesday 3-11pm
• Thursday 3-11pm
• Friday – OFF
• Saturday – OFF

Shift pattern B

• Sunday – OFF
• Monday – OFF
• Tuesday 6am-2pm
• Wednesday 6am-2pm
• Thursday 6am-2pm
• Friday 6am-6.30pm
• Saturday 6am-6pm

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the daily operations of the production department including scheduling, production, and shipping.
• Ensure that all production materials are properly labeled and stored.
• Ensure that all raw materials are properly tracked and accounted for.
• Ensure that production meets or exceeds all daily production goals.
• Train and supervise the daily operations of the production team.
• Ensure that all safety protocols are followed at all times, including OSHA, HACCP, and Quality Protocols.
• Work with Production Supervisor to ensure that production goals are met on a daily, weekly, monthly, and yearly basis.
• Work with Operations Manager to ensure that all weekly and monthly safety and quality checks are performed by the Production Team as well as weekly safety and quality checks are performed by the team during shift.
• Work with Plant Manager to ensure that weekly safety and quality checks are performed by the Production Team as well as weekly safety and quality checks are performed by the team during shift.
• Manage a busy work schedule in order to ensure that production goals are met on a daily, weekly, monthly, and yearly basis.

Qualifications:

• Be able to illustrate a proven track record in a similar role, ideally from within a food manufacturing environment.
• Have a clear understanding of food hygiene, food safety, HACCP, health and safety and quality systems.
• Results driven and ability to improve performance within the department.
• Strong people management skills with the ability to drive performance and develop the team
• Possess excellent organisational skills with ability to plan workloads effectively to meet deadlines.
• Be able to demonstrate Leadership skills, be confident and committed and able to accept responsibility.
• Have strong communication skills, both verbal and written in English is essential in this role as is the ability to operate computers and computer software.
• Be able to develop effective working relationships with all departments.
